The SWAT team is like a family. Most of the show is dedicated to the actual crime, but they also allow time to fill each character in so that the audience can invest in the characters. The man in charge of the group is Sergeant Gregory Parker (Erico Colantoni). He worked hard to get where he is in the show. He became a work-a-holic and drunk. The combination caused him to lose his family. He remained estranged to his family until season 3 when his son sneaks away from his aunts during a visit to see him.Second in charge is Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon). He is the father figure in the group. He is happily married with a teenage son, and a baby girl on the way. Many times he is the glue that binds the group together. Sam Braddock (David Paetkau) is an ex-military man who is used to taking orders and following the rules.
Flashpoint is an emotional journey following the lives of members of the SRU (Strategic Response Unit) as they solve hostage situations, bust gangs, and defuse bombs. They work by utilizing their training to get inside the heads of these people in order to make them reach their breaking point (aka their flashpoint).Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni) leads the elite team on their missions. The show is based upon the experiences of the real life Toronto Police Emergency Task Force.

The 2nd episode of the most awaited police drama TV series will finally give us the thrill and adventure that we’ve been waiting for. After the successful launching of its 1st episode in its 4th season, the scenes are getting more and more mysterious. We watched how the members of the team hunted for the gunman who shotted Ed and later learned that the shooter was linked to a drug lord. On the other hand, Ed undergoes a surgery in order to survive his misfortune while his wife has experienced complications while delivering their baby.
